Services
The therapy sessions I provide target individualized speech and/or language goals for the child. Speech goals focus on improving accuracy of the child’s motor speech system in order to produce intelligible speech. Language goals target the child’s receptive, expressive, and/or pragmatic language skills. The sessions are most often play-based. I like to create opportunities for the child to practice the target skill while enjoying activities that are relevant to the child’s interest.

Speech Evaluation
A PROMPT ( Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) motor speech evaluation assesses the child’s motor speech subsystems at rest. I evaluate the client’s mandibular (jaw), labio-facial (lips/cheeks) and lingual (tongue) control during speech production. The parent/caregiver will receive specific information about the child’s articulators and which sounds will be targeted during sessions, if needed.
Full Speech & Language Evaluation
A speech and language evaluation includes the Speech Evaluation (above) plus a thorough assessment of the client’s receptive, expressive and pragmatic language skills. The parent/caregiver will be given specific information about the child’s speech and language skills.
